We're excited to announce our partnership with the Baltimore Community Toolbank in Pigtown! We plan to meet at the tool bank monthly to engage volunteers and discuss the solutions that we present to eradicate homelessness in Baltimore. Micro-shelters are a temporary solutions, but tiny homes can be a permanent solution to our housing issue here Baltimore. Smalltimore Homes is ready to address the stigma and tolerance for people experiencing homelessness.
We are off to a strong start, May's "Women Build Week" jump started the micro-shelter launch right in a back yard of East Baltimore. We also created a partnership with The Community Tool bank in Baltimore for future build sessions!
Founded in February 2018, Smalltimore Homes is a nonprofit organization focused on transitional housing solutions in Baltimore. More than 3,600 people sleep on the streets of Baltimore every night, creating micro-shelters and tiny homes can be the solution to ending homelessness.
