Smalltimore Homes Launches Give 8/28 Campaign to Raise $25,000 for Baltimore Placemaking

BALTIMORE, MD — On August 28, Smalltimore Homes will join Black-led and Black-benefiting organizations nationwide for Give 8/28, a national day of giving hosted by the Young, Black & Giving Back Institute.

This year, Smalltimore Homes is raising $25,000 for an East Baltimore Project, advancing our work to demonstrate what community-centered, small-footprint housing can look like in Baltimore.

Founded in 2018, Smalltimore Homes works at the intersection of housing, public health, community development, accessibility, and resident-led innovation. We believe housing is more than a roof — it is a social determinant of health connected to safety, stability, wellness, employment, and opportunity.

Give 8/28 is especially meaningful during Black August, a time to reflect on liberation, self-determination, and the power of Black communities to create solutions for themselves.
