About Us

Smalltimore Homes is a nonprofit dedicated to transforming the lives of Baltimore’s unhoused through innovative housing solutions. Established in 2018, we focus on building microshelters and tiny homes, driven by a mission to create a supportive and sustainable community for those facing housing insecurities in Baltimore City. Our name is a playful nod to Baltimore’s tight-knit feel, resonating with our commitment to providing small, yet impactful, homes. Through volunteerism and community development, we strive to empower individuals, foster homeownership, and break down systemic barriers to housing.

"We believe that everyone deserves a place to call home, and through our work, we strive to empower individuals and families to define their future and create a positive change in their lives and the community."

Our Vision
To bridge the gap between the streets and secure housing for all vulnerable populations, including LGBTQ+ individuals, seniors, foster children, mothers escaping domestic violence, and veterans. Smalltimore Homes envisions a world where everyone, regardless of their physical, sensory, or cognitive abilities, has access to homes that meet their needs and enhance their quality of life. The organization is committed to proactive problem-solving, ensuring that resources are available to address issues before they arise, creating a supportive and resilient community.
